2016 Global Telecom Revenue Projected To Be Around $1.2 Trillion USD

While growth is expected to slow down some by 2016, there should still be growth.  Because of this, the telecom industry is one of the few that isn’t at a complete standstill.  There is an expected CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 2.5 percent.  By the end of 2015, annual revenues should be about $2.1 trillion USD.

Though the mobile market is expected to mature in many global markets with a decrease in landlines and a slowing of Internet broadband growth, telecom companies will still see some growth.  For instance, the CAGR for the number of global telecom subscribers is expected to grow by 5.1 percent by the beginning of 2016.

The projected number of subscribers should be around 9.2 billion by the end of 2015.  This growth will be dependent upon the increase in new broadband and mobile technologies.

The mobile broadband market is projected to be the fastest growing focus for the telecom industry.  With an expected growth of approximately 6.7 percent by 2016, it’ll be a great focus for telecom companies.  While the USA is near the head of the pack with mobile broadband solutions, it is still expected to see fast growth.

It’s an exciting focus for telecom companies in terms of assisting companies with implementing mobile broadband technologies, as well as every other aspect of a business’ telecommunications needs.  Because of this, it’s a great time for those looking to break into the industry to think about becoming a telecommunications sales agent.
